continuously feeding the printing head with ink from large reservoirs which stand beside the
printer. As the ink levels run down in the reservoirs, they are simply topped off from bulk refill
bottles – no more time wasted changing cartridges and printing nozzle checks. The cost savings
from running an Ink2image bulk ink feed are considerable – upwards of 70% compared to using
normal original cartridges. Ink2image bulk ink feed systems are built in the USA and use only
the best components from around the world. The system for the Epson Photo R1900 and
R2880 are the first in a new generation of bulk feeds from Ink2image, and incorporates many
new and innovative features. Normal ink cartridges have been replaced by simple plug-in
dampers (as used on most wide format printers). These accurately control ink pressure at the
print head and eliminate air ingress, a common issue with many other bulk feed devices. Ink
level monitor chips (necessary to work with the printer firmware) are mounted on bars for
accurate registration with the chip reader contacts and to eliminate chip reading errors. Simple
switches are used to reset the chips even while printing. The ink supply tubing is laboratory
