Wide format refillable cartridge kits come in a variety of designs and styles dependent on the
printer model. They all offer the benefits of considerable cost savings compared to using
original cartridges and increased productivity from longer unattended printing. All kits are
simple and quick to install with no permanent modification required to the printer.

These kits feature specially developed refillable bulk ink feed cartridges that are installed
exactly as a normal cartridge. The cartridges each contain 220 ml of ink and the translucent
design allows for easy monitoring of ink levels. As ink is used and the level drops, the
cartridges are simply topped up directly from 1 liter refill bottles, even while printing. Installation
of the kit takes minutes to complete and sets the ink monitors to always full. For printer models
that use chips to control ink levels, the refill cartridges also include chips. On older Epson
models such as the Epson Stylus Pro 4000 & 7600/9600, instructions are included with the kits
that enable the chip readers on the printer to be turned off, so no resetting of the cartridge
chips is required. For newer Epson printer models such as the Epson Pro 4800, 4880, 7800,
7880, 9800 and 9880, a chip resetter is included with the kit that resets the cartridge chips to
full each time they show empty. Using Lyson refillable cartridges and bulk ink saves around
70% compared to using original cartridges not to mention the added benefit of longer
unattended production runs. The impact on the environment is also significantly reduced with
less wasteful plastic to dispose of.

matched inks such as Lyson Cave Paint Photochrome V2 and V3 which match the color
performance of the Original Epson Ultrachrome and Ultrachrome K3 inks respectively, and so
can be used without re-profiling. Secondly, we also offer wider color gamut inks such as the
Lyson Cave Paint Photochrome R24 which improve the color performance compared to the
original inks. These require the use of new ICC color profiles, and Ink2image supplies free
profiles for these inks on a variety of media. All inks are equally as archival and have the same
non-bronzing performance as the original inks.
An interesting option for users of the Epson Pro 4800, 7800 and 9800 is to use the Lyson
Cave Paint Photochrome V3 inks with the latest vivid magenta and vivid light magenta
formulations in place of the standard magentas. This basically makes these models deliver the
same color performance of the newer Epson Pro 4880, 7880 and 9880 without the need to
invest in new printers.

calculated for an Epson Pro 4800 running original cartridges compared to using Lyson Cave Paint R24 inks in bulk. We
have used a ‘street’ price of $ 100 for an Epson 220 ml original cartridge.
For a typical user who uses a set of eight original cartridges per month, they would use 8 x 12 = 96 original cartridges in
a year at a cost of $ 9,600.00. The volume of ink in these cartridges would be 96 x 220 = 21,120 ml. To convert to using
Lyson bulk ink would require the purchase of a refillable cartridges starter kit at a cost of $ 800.00. This kit contains 8 x
500 ml bottles of ink or the equivalent ink as 18 original cartridges. An additional 17.12 x 1 Liter refill bottles would be
needed through out the year at a cost of $ 150.00 per bottle = $ 2,568.00. Total cost for using Lyson bulk ink is $ 800.00

| MAINTENANCE TANK RECYCLE KITS |

starter kit comes with a chip resetter and 3 sets of the wadding material that is used in the tank
to soak up waste ink (original tank is not included). The resetter is simply placed on the
maintenance tank chip and resets the chip to back to empty. The wadding is then replaced
and the tank is ready for re-use. Once a tank has been recycled three times then further sets
of wadding (sold in packs of 3) can be purchased so that a tank can be recycled many times.
