The Small Gamut ink set adds another dimension to monochrome inkjet printing - the ability to
adjust the tonal hue of the image by using color controls in the imaging software. Designed to
work with the normal printer driver software, the Small Gamut inks are all black formulations but
each has a small amount of color added to enable the user to adjust the overall color of the
image within a limited range. Because this color adjustment range is so small, then the color
defects normally present when using full color inks are eliminated. Making hue adjustments with
Small Gamut is simple. By using the hue and saturation controls in Photoshop, a black and white
image can be adjusted through a whole range of tonal hues from sepia through neutral to cool
tone. Even split tone effects can be achieved by adjusting individual areas of the image.
